Here&#8217;s the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanworldpictures.com\/films\/yeti.htm\">blurb<\/a> for a film in which a Yeti is the horror interest. Probably a male monster.<\/p>\n<p>Contrast this to Herge&#8217;s poignantly misunderstood beast <img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/yetiinabox.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/05\/herge-yeti.jpg?w=100\" alt=\"herge_yeti.jpg\" border=\"0\"  align=\"left\" \/>. In <em>Tintin in Tibet<\/em>, the yeti is shy, lonely, and female. I gather there is a play, with strong ecofeminist leanings, called \u2018Betty the Yeti\u2019\u2014to be sought, indeed.<\/p>\n<p>For sheer strangeness, what about \u2018Sex Secrets of the Yeti\u2019 (google it yerself!) &#8211; which so far as I could determine puts forth (ahem) a male monster.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Best not to take this too seriously.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, it had to happen.
